Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. She started her career in minor roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). Later, she played the character as reporter Willa McPherson in the FX show Dirt. She also played an accent in FX's short-lived series The Ex List. She was the lead character of Moira O'Hara during the initial season of FX's American Horror Story, and was Kaylee in the third season. She played Jessie Anderson on AMC's The Walking Dead and Sophie on NBC's This Is Us. She has voiced various characters on Family Guy, an animated comedy. She is currently the voice of Melinda "Mel" Monroe who is the main character of Netflix's show Virgin River. Breckenridge resided in Darien, Connecticut, until when she was 10 at which point she and her mother relocated to California. They went through a few different places before eventually settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge began to take an interest in acting, singing, and photography at 13. Breckenridge relocated to Los Angeles with the help of her mother at age 15.
