Dakota Blue Richards, an English actor, is known for her character Lyra in the movie 'The Golden Compass.' She also played Franky in the British film Skins. There is also a long history of performing on stage in plays such as 'Arcadia and A Streetcar Named Desire. A London native, Richards grew up in Sussex. She took some drama lessons in her school, but all of the classes took place on weekends. The school day was shortened to go on auditions. She made her television debut later that year in the film 'Dustbin Baby.
