Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko fights as a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter in the flyweight division. She is also the elder sister of the former UFC Flyweight champion and co- UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sports journey as a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals via the unanimous vote. Shevchenko stopped her involvement in MMA in order to concentrate on the sport of kickboxing. She made her comeback to fight Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa in a unanimously-decided match before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she resigned from the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina demonstrated her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera by knees. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended after this win. Antonina took part in her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous victory, however she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi on the split decision. Antonina bounced back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night reward during the bout. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but also defeated Ariane. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
