Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko fights as a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter in the flyweight division. She is also the elder sister of the former UFC Flyweight champion and co- UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sports journey as a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals via the unanimous vote. Antonina was able to follow it up, with a silver-medal in 2007, a bronze award in 2008 a gold medal in the year 2011 and the title of 2015 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. In 2012, she took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight last time at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won via unanimous verdict. Antonina Shevchenko made her professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She was victorious in the second round TKO followed by 2 more fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to get a 3-0 record. Shevchenko stopped her involvement in MMA in order to concentrate on the sport of kickboxing. She made her comeback to fight Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa in a unanimously-decided match before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she resigned from the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina demonstrated her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera by knees. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended after this win. Antonina took part in her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous victory, however she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi on the split decision. Antonina bounced back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night reward during the bout. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but also defeated Ariane. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
